The world we live in today is too content with doing their talking out of the barrel of a gun, I say we bring about world peace survivor series style, huge 10 man tag with all the world biggest bastards involved and let them settle it in the ring. Sure that's not the smartest idea for bringing about world peace but at least its a fucking idea, in fact it may be the dumbest thing I have ever said, but anyways I was trying to make a metaphor
He stops and takes a deep breath looking at the camera and smiling
Adaption, intelligence, confidence and a lack of fear, those 4 things describe what it takes to be a professional wrestler in this modern age, Darwin always said that the strongest walk over the corpses of the weak and yet in this day and era the largest men in wrestling barely even hold a belt, the largest champion who has not been with their respective company over a decade in the last 5 years was who? Sheamus? Sheamus is a built guy, brick wall in fact as is Ryback or Crimson or Matt Morgan but they Aren't Giant haystacks or the big show or even Mark Henry. The reason for that is the cultural and educational revolution of professional wrestling, a sport where knocking or throwing your opponent over top rope was cause for disqualification in most places and now its a fucking drinking game every time someone does a dive down in Reseda, California
He pulls his hood down so you can see his face fully
This is the face of the culmination of that revolution, this is the face of Jordan Caliban
================================
We time jump a little bit to an interview being done at the arena the night before the first ever PURE TV taping, the entire shot is Caliban standing under a single light bulb, there is just enough light to see the Pure symbol on the backdrop behind him. The interviewer goes to enter the shot but Jordy holds a hand up in his face
Lets get one thing straight from the start, I don't like interviewers, they aren't real people, I look at you and I see some guy who couldn't do what I do but found he could write about it real well and because of this he feels like he's one of the boys. Just because he did a couple of stunts in the backstage and probably has a few scars that that means he understands a damn thing about what we do or why we do it. YOU ARE A FAN KID! If your gunna walk to me, next time do it with a little humbleness, I put the food on your table got that? Whats your name anyways?
David Armitage Mr Caliban
I like the name Mikey, I'm going to call you that from now, Mikey leave your notes with the camera guy, he will be conducting this interview, whats your name brotha?
Frank Mr Caliba...
Shhh call me Jordy or Ill kick you out the way I am about to with your buddy
He turns to Mikey aka David and basically cracks his knuckles, the poor kid bolts nearly ripping the door off its hinges in his hurry
So Frankie I am assuming those are the pictures of my opponents in that folder your holding? May I?
The camera man passes Jordy a brown folder and he takes out a picture holding it up for the camera too see
The Emerald Assassin, a superhero apparently and as with super hero's we don't know much about him, I've spent some time under a mask, I understand that freedom and the inclination to act the maggot with some material concealing your identity but you should know one thing. In a world like the one we live you don't need a mask to be a super hero, real hero's show their face, masks just cloud you from consequences that in the end you will deserve, on the 11th I answer the age old question of who watches the watchmen and on Monday night my eyes are on you green man.
He tosses the picture at the camera and looks at the next one before holding it up to the lens
Next we have the Stallion, the old boy in this one, I'm not sure if that transfers into experience but I guess Ill find that one out or myself. One thing I will say is that this guy reminds me a lot of myself with one major difference, I know my limits and how genuinely good I am, hell I'll even admit that I may not be the best performer in the match on Monday but to myself at least, I have nothing to lose. I'll come clean, I have never won my debut match for any of the companies I have worked for and that is a massive incentive for me. Not to mention recording the first win this company has ever seen. I will not claim victory until my hand is raised because thats how you lose a match, I know Monday night could go either way but in regards to Mr Stallion, buddy win or lose one of us will prove what we are worth on sunday night or die trying to
He stops talking contemplating his words and smiling a sly smile to the camera
Moving on!
He holds up a picture of Noah Walsh
This is my target however, this is the man i see as a threat and Noah thats not a good thing for you, yah see the clowns above you on this list of intentions are simply going to be cannon fodder, at least from the looks of it anyways, I have been very wrong before, but you Noah, with you I can see purpose and sense desire in your words, this shakes me a little bit. See I am used to being the one who everyone is a little shaky on in the fight but brotha I heard stories about where you are coming from and I have fought men coming from those places before, I know how your punches feel and you haven't laid a hand on me yet. I will always acknowledge the man fighting to put food in only his own mouth as the most dangerous man in the ring, but on Monday night if you put one foot wrong, you will go hungry
He throws the final opponents picture out of shot and holds up the last one in his hand, he is looking straight down at himself, he tosses this one away as well, he tosses his hood back up over his head and looks deep into the camera lense so only the deep blue in his eyes and the whites of his sick smile are coming through the shadow
I am a brave man but I have been a coward, I have sat back under others power, I have spent to damn long on my own 2 knees and now I am ready to find my feet, Monday night I will draw first blood... INCOMING
