Most people get nervous at things. High-pressure spots, a tight situation, in this instance a debut, I’m different. I find no need to get nervous. What does getting nervous do to you, making you anxious doesn’t help you out. Panicking is pointless, everything can be controlled. Some people just rely on luck to get them out of tight spots. I’m a believer that you make your own breaks, if you just stand around waiting to hit luck and have your career suddenly turn around you’ll be standing in the same exact spot you started in for years and years. A word that gets thrown around a lot when people describe me is “entitled”. According to some of the people that hate me oh so much, I’m an entitled rich kid who doesn’t deserve anything that’s happened to me. I know that they know I’ve earned everything; they’re just discontent with their miserable lives that they want to persecute me for being a success. Well to that I say…nothing. I’ll let the people who hate me wallow in their self-pity and live in a fantasy where they can pretend that they’re successes and that they matter because unlike them I can distinguish fantasy from reality.
Most everyone says that my life is so easy, I have it all, and what else could I need? Those people are some of the most ignorant men and women I’ve met or Tweeted or FaceBooked with in my life. My life in fact is, while wonderful, extremely draining, why don’t you try flying around the world every other weekend, possibly more, to film a movie or go do press and act grateful for fans that you’re expected to thank because they got you to where you are today. Why don’t the people step back, get off their high horses, and thank me for providing them with entertainment in their lives even though they don’t deserve it. Are they the reason I’m able to live my extremely busy life, are they the reason I graduated at the head of my college and high school classes? Are they the reason I’m hear wrestling? Of course not, I am. I didn’t get lucky by getting a ton of fans, I earned them. I wasn’t entitled to it, though success couldn’t have happened to a better guy.
My opponent for this show, Mr. Scott Wilson, is a wonderful example of a man who lives a lie wishing to have my life even though he wouldn’t last a day in my shoes. Scott, you wear a mask. You hide your face because you’re ashamed of who you are, you try to mask your shame from the fact that you wish you were better, smarter, better looking, and sadly for you, I am much better than you in all three of those categories. I’m sure you’re going to love to have this shot and punching me in the face, but sadly, that’s just another fantasy. When you enter that ring I don’t know if you’re prepared for what will happen to you. I’m going to pummel you, and when I deem that it’s time to put you away, I’ll do just that. This isn’t arrogance or just me spitting hot air as most people will think it is it’s the truth, a fact of life if you will. It’s my destiny to become a star in this world of wrestling, not just another spoke on the wheel like so many other so-called promising young stars become. I am not destined to be a flash in the pan; I will become a champion and add yet another accolade to my life.
PURE will be in for a treat when I come on their debut show, Scott on the other hand will be in for a beating that he is certainly entitled to. If there’s one thing you’re entitled to, it’s that. But don’t worry, I’ll let you feel like you’re competition to me, I’ll have some fun, maybe taunt some fans, but when it’ll come down to it and the results are in the paper they’ll read my name as the victor and yours as the loser. PURE should be fortunate that I’ll only be here to beat down on Wilson, because if I were to be here any longer you’d have to change to world title to the Jayson Garrett Championship because believe it when I say I’d be the longest reigning world champion in the history of wrestling, but alas, I must continue my adventures in the wide world of wrestling. Scott Wilson, feel honored that I’m taking time out of my busy schedule to defeat you, feel gracious that one day you can tell your grandkids you wrestled the greatest wrestler of all-time, but make sure you remember to tell them you lost. After tonight Jayson Garrett’s stock will certainly be rising even higher than before so take some time out of your miserable lives to sit back and appreciate me doing what I do best, being the best, and beating Scott Wilson into the mat. The nerves will be with everyone backstage at PURE, all the production, and especially Scott Wilson, but there will be no nerves with me, because I am confident. I know that I am a future world champion, and it's just a matter of time till everyone sees that. My name is Jayson Garrett, make sure you remember that because I am wrestling's future.
