My PS3 is really nothing more then a Blue Ray DVD player at this point. There hasn't been a game in years that I've felt like I needed to buy. Up until Madden 25, I don't think I'd bought a console game since I bought the Wii when it first came out.

All of the bad pr that the Xbox has gotten has turned me off of it. I haven't had a system since I sold my ps3 and early nintendos a few years back. Been waiting for the new systems before getting back into them. Though for me I have always enjoyed what most people consider sub par or shitty games. I have always preferred licensed games based on movies and other lower budget games. I d not like most first person shooters, and have not enjoyed a call of Duty game since 3 which is to this day my favorite.
So non of the big next gen releases excite me. I never really got into Assassins Creed or racing games either. My next gaming system will be based entirely on where the products go after launch. And which ones my friends buy, though they usually have both systems pretty close to launch.
As long as I can play wrestling games, GTA, NHL and madden I am happy with Now, the extra bs that goes into these next gen stuff is what turns me off more than anything. So it depends on how many out of the box updates and shit.
I will likely buy an xbox 360 here within the month and just do that for a while.

the Xbone isn't nearly as awful as it was during the summer, but the only reasons to not buy it over PS4 is price tag and launch lineup.
Xbox 'fanboys' were smug about Titanfall's exclusivity and launch date, but then it got delayed till March '14 and some representative of the game said we can likely expect the sequel to be on PS4 as well. I guess Ryes & Dead Rising could be good, but they look so whatever. I'm a fan of the KillZone series and platformers in general, so PS4's launch lineup sits well with me. And then Infamous 2 and the Order is around the corner.
I'm also pretty sure PS4 will have a fantastic year in 2014, whereas it can't be said for Xbox.

The fact that Microsoft ever had 'screw the consumer' policies in place in the first place is what really turned me off to them. If they can flip those 'screw the consumers' policies off with the flip of a switch, they can surely turn them back on AFTER millions of people buy the console. Fuck that noise.

I do have to say every time i called microsoft support and they were easy to get ahold of and really cool. I even called them a year after forgetting to cancel xbox live and they were awesome enough to refund it.

never buy a first gen console, I waited 3 years for a 360 and I am glad I did, no red ring, no bullshit. Because I travel a lot though it will probably be a couple more years till I upgrade to xbox 1 from my 360 in Ireland. This argument however does not have a winner and for me the reason people still argue about it is because they want everyone on the same console, sitting around a table with 6 guys 3 on play station, 3 on xbox, its depressing watching them all brag about their skills challenge each other and then realize that they will never be able to play together anyway lol

Since I have my Consoles in my bedroom, I just can't get past the fact that the XBone has an always on camera that is watching me at all times.

If MS announced a new feature where the camera records and stores information about your sexual preferences and then automatically switches on a tailor specific skin flick when it senses the need I'd be out in the street robbing old ladies so I could buy one.

It's not so much that feature that people fear, it's the DNA collecting unit that activates after you sleep which builds a perfect biometric profile of you for sinister clone-related purposes that everyone seems to see as a negative.
